Saturday with Grandkiddos Visiting

We had the 5 BG grandkiddos with us on Saturday afternoon and evening.  Their Mama and Daddy went to a wedding.  I thought it would be a great idea to take the grandkiddos to the City Park to play in the children's area.  Well, most of BG thought the same idea.  There were so many children there and parents, grandparents.  I was glad that Josh and Kori were still wearing their bright green cross country t-shirts.  We could spot them easily.  I had Ava and Pappy was in charge of Tyle and Evan.  Her is Ava on a bouncy toy.  She was saying 'EEEE" to show she was having fun.
Josh wanted me to take a picture of him on the rings.  He is the one in the fluorescent green t-shirt on the rings.  Tyler is crossing the bridge.
 Evan and Tyler having fun.
Ava swinging at the park.  We had to wait 20 minutes to get a swing.
Then, we went to Dairy Queen.  I shared my hot fudge sundae with her and really all of the grandchildren.  They all had their own treats, however, they wanted mine, too.  Ava kept saying "Bite."
Ava wanted to wipe the ice cream off of her face.  She is saying 'Oh."
Here are the 5 grandkiddos jammed into a little car at the City Park.  Grammie will do anything for a Kodak moment.  I think everyone looks at us with amazement as we go anywhere with the 5.  We do have to take two cars.  Our Honda civics cannot take all  5.  Pappy takes 2 and Grammie had 3.  We ended the evening with glow in the dark sticks, necklaces and rings.  Fun time!!!!

Grandkiddos Saturday Visit

Ava Time

Ava spent the night with us.  Her brother had a birthday party at Chuck E Cheese and then he had a birthday sleepover.  This is Ava waking up with a smile on her face.
Our sweetie pie eating breakfast.  She liked Grammies spinach bacon soufflĂ© from Panera.  She kept asking for a bite.
 Pappy reading to Ava.
 Pappy and Ava playing.
Grammie had to go to BGSU and work at STEM in the Park.  Ava got to play with Pappy for a couple hours.  They bonded.

Early Sunday Morning

We had the grandkiddos here Saturday.  They, also, spent the night with us.  Our daughter Alisson took her husband Terence to see Mumford and Sons in concert in Troy, OH.  This was an early birthday present for Terence.  Our early birthday gift to him was to watch their children.  This is a photo of the Fantastic Five at 7:12am. Sunday morning.  We took them home in their jammies at 8:00am.  Of course, we had to take two cars to transport them.  I took 3 and Gerry took 2.   Then, Gerry and I headed off to church at 8:30.  We love that the grandkiddos really like to come to our house.  We are so blessed.

Happy 7th Birthday Josh

After seeing the movie Turbo, grandson Josh asked for a Turbo cake for his birthday.  Thanks to Pinterest I got this idea.  Gerry and I tweeked Pinterest's idea.  I had panicked at first when Josh asked for a Turbo cake.  Since the movie is so new, there is limited ideas on the internet.  We hope he likes it.  He asked us for Turbo toys for his birthday.  We hope he likes the inline skates we bought him instead.  We are getting together this evening to celebrate Josh's birthday with his family.  Happy 7th "Turbo" Birthday, Josh!!! Grammie and Pappy love you so much.

Getting to the End of Summer Vacation

My summer vacation is coming to an end.  I got to have the 3 younger grandkiddos today for a couple of hours.  Evan and Tyler are working on the IPAD.  Ava loves to smell my candles.  She sees a candle (and I have quite a few) and says, "Smell."  She likes the Yankee Candle Macintosh apple the best.  She understands hot, too, when I am burning a candle.  I will have great memories of my times with these precious little ones this summer.  Once again, I am shouting.... I LOVE TO BE A GRAMMIE!!!!

Pemberville Kiddie Parade Fun

Each summer we have taken the grandkiddos to see the Pemberville Kiddie parade.  They are waiting patiently for the parade to start so they can gather candy that is passed from the floats.  I know we looked so cute walking down the street with all 5 grandkiddos.
We took the kiddos to Dairy Queen for a special treat, too.  They are so happy with their ice cream treats.  Pappy and I had so much fun tonight with our precious little ones.

Ava on the Phone

Ava likes to talk on the phone.  She likes to push buttons and say "Hi."  Here she is playing with her toy phone.
She knows to put the phone to her ear.
Here she is yelling "Hi."
We got to have Ava with us for a few hours on Saturday.  We had so much fun with her.  Now that she is a chatterbox, we can meet her needs without drama.  She says "Eat" , cookie, milk, teeth (she likes to brush her teeth), side (go outside), smell (to smell a flower or candle), clearly.  "Dandy" means candy and she wants a Hershey kiss.  When motivated, she can walk many, many steps.  She walked from our family room to the bathroom to brush her teeth--25 steps.  She is our miracle baby.

 Sweet Ava.
 Ava saying "Hi" to me.
Four of the grandchildren playing nicely together.  I had to get this photo.
Kori loves to be in the pink bedroom and watch TV while she eats pretzels.  It is her routine at our house.
 Miss Ava eating a snack.
Kori wanted a photo with Ava.  Nothing stops Ava from eating.

Love the Grandkiddos

We had the 5 grandkiddos with us for a few hours this evening.  Their Mommy and Daddy had a dinner date.  We had a lot of fun.
Ava played a silly game with Pappy G.  She put on and off his socks.  Here she is looking so silly wearing Pappy G's socks.   Also, a group photo of all 5 grandkiddos.  I am so blessed.

Pappy Time

Josh had Pappy Time with Gerry.  They went to the Wood County Historical Museum and had a private tour.  When asked where he wanted to eat dinner, Josh said, "Big Boy, they have shaped pancakes there.  Then the two of them watched a Transformer movie at home.  Josh spent the night with us, too.  Fun time and creating great memories.
Josh and Pappy getting ready to leave for their tour.  And, then, Pappy and Josh at Big Boy.

Day 5 or Last Day with Ty and Ava

Well, VBS ended today for our daughter and today was my last day with my two buddies.  When you have your grandchildren for several days, you really get to know them.  I had a great week with Ty and Ava and am so thankful to God for giving these special gifts to our family.
Morning swimming time has ended.
After baths, it is snack time... cookies.  Ava says "Cookie" very clearly.
Here is Ava Skyping with Aunt Bonnie and Uncle Charlie.  Each morning we Skyped with Aunt Bonnie.  She taught Ava to say E-I, E-I  O.
Tyler playing with a top given to the kiddos by Great Grandpa and Great Grandma K.
My favorite photo.  Ava is giving a lovey to her Mommy's Strawberry Shortcake doll she loved when she was little.  This is too precious.
My family room with the kiddos at our house.

The two little ones have gone home.  I love them sooooo much.

Day 4 with My Two Buddies

Today is Day 4 that I have had Tyler and Ava mornings this week.  They have been my buddies.
Tyler asked for Rice Krispies with no milk this morning.
Ava is eating peanut butter toast and yogurt.  You can see the yogurt on her face.
Tyler watching Curious George as we begin our morning fun.
All this week Tyler has asked for chocolate milk and has always spilled some on his clothes.  So today, I had him take his shirt and shorts off.  Of course I heard "I spilled on me."  Oh well, easier to wipe it off his body than washing his clothes.
Miss Ava eating salami and cheese for lunch.  She, also, ate blueberries and some yogurt.  She is wearing one of the boys' baby bibs since all of hers are in the wash.  It says " I love my grandpa."
Ava is eating a piece of a Hershey kiss.  She loves her chocolate candy just as her Grammie does.  The last photo is just a cute photo of my two darling buddies this week.  I am going to miss them.
