Kiddos Opening Presents

Just a few pictures to show the excitement our grandchildren were having opening presents at our house. They are so precious and we love them soooooooooo much.

Christmas Morning

We went over to see the kiddos open their presents on Christmas morning. When we walked into the house, Josh, Kori and Evan were sitting on the steps waiting until they were told to come see their presents

. It was so cute. This is Evan with his big fire engine he got for Christmas.

Tyler at Christmas

This is Tyler with me at his first Christmas at our house. As soon as he and his family arrived, I had to take him out of his carrier and hold him. I think (or hope) that he knows his Grammie now. He was very alert and just watching all of the action while we opened presents. I ate our Christmas dinner holding him. I had to ask my sister Bonnie to cut up my ham. It brought back memories of Zach and Alisson as babies. We had a wonderful Christmas and

gave a prayer of thanks to God for all He has given to us. Merry 1st Christmas baby Tyler!!!!!!

The Kiddos at Christmas

I got a few pictures of the grandchildren prior to Christmas. I wanted to give Alisson a cute picture. As you can see, I had to do some cutting and pasting to get a good photo. In the one photo our princess is smiling and the Little Rascals are doing their thing. Love it.

My Three Boys

Last night I had the three boys for a couple of hours. I gave Tyler a bath and then he fell asleep in my arms. I put him down on his quilt so I could give Evan and Josh a bath. Tyler looks so precious sleeping and he wakes up so happy.

Tyler Time

Alisson called and asked if I wanted to have Tyler Time. She had some Christmas shopping to do yesterday morning. Of course, I want Tyler Time. He is growing too fast. I placed a soft rattle in his hand and he moved his hand holding onto the rattle.

Tyler's Check Up

On Monday, Tyler had his 8 week old visit with the pediatrician. Tyler is in the 80th percentile for weight and 60th percentile for height. He is developing great. Tyler lifted his head while on his tummy. He had to get 4 shots. Alisson said he cried and turned red. He was mad. Poor little guy. Alisson did ask about the red circular mark on Tyler's left temple area. The pediatrician reassured all of us that it is normal and should be gone by 3 years old. We are so thankful for this precious gift from God.

Potty Time

Since I am home for 2 weeks, I told Alisson I would be happy to potty train Evan. I potty trained both of our children in a day. I takes one full day at home with no other distractions. Evan showed all signs of being ready.... vocabulary well-developed, wakes up with a dry diaper at night, and has gone potty before on the big potty. Evan did so well yesterday. He loved getting M&M's for sitting on the potty. When he went potty, he got M&M's and cheese puffs! We even called Thomas the Tank Engine (Aunt Bonnie) and Batman(Pappy G) to tell them that he went potty on his Froggy. Alisson bought him an adorable Fisher Price Froggy potty chair. He will still have potty accidents, but, he gets the idea of going on his Froggy potty. I thought this photo was too cute of Evan looking at a book while sitting on his potty chair.

Sleep Over

Last night we had Josh, Kori and Evan spend the night with us. We had fun. They had Christmas cookies and hot chocolate. We made popcorn as they watched the recorded Charlie Brown Christmas and Frosty the Snowman. Fun!!! Evan now sleeps in a bed and has been out of the crib for a month. We were thinking what the sleeping arrangements would be. We decided to buy sleeping bags for them that would stay at our house. Kori got a Princess sleeping bag. She said, "I have always wanted a princess one." Josh got a Toy Story 3 sleeping bag. He said, "This is just what I wanted." Evan got a Cars sleeping bag. He was unsure of the sleeping bag at first. Evan did sleep in the sleeping throughout the night and did not get out of it. We were surprised how well Evan slept in the sleeping bag for the first time. Wonderful!!! We thought at this age sleeping bags would be more fun than air mattresses for the kids. These photos were taken just after we gave them their sleeping bags.

Tyler Time

I was so lucky this evening. I got to have Tyler with me for 3 hours all by myself. Pappy was not home so I did not have to share Tyler with him. Tyler was awake for 2 hours. I did "Tummy Time" with him. As you can see, he is trying to get his head up. The one photo is the first picture taken of Tyler with a smile. He has smiled at home before. This is the first smile I have seen and I got the picture by accident. Tyler fell asleep on his quilt. I said, "You are not sleeping here, Tyler." I picked him up and cuddled with him on the couch for an hour. I just loved it!!!!!!!

Santa's Little Helper

Tyler looks so cute in his Christmas outfit. He is the cutest Little Santa Helper. I know Alisson thought Tyler would be able to wear Evan's first Christmas outfit. She tried it on last week, and it did not fit Tyler. I am so glad I got this outfit for Tyler. He is growing too fast.

Dedication Day

Josh, Kori and Tyler were dedicated last Sunday at their church. What a special day!!

Two Handsome Guys in My Life

This was just too cute. We went to Alisson and Terence's church for Josh, Kori and Tyler's Dedication service. Pappy G and Evan looked so cute color coordinated and it was not planned!!!!!

Evan's 2nd Birthday

Last Sunday we celebrated Evan's 2nd birthday at our house. He was unsure about blowing out the candle on his cake. Brother Josh was very willing to help. Evan liked the cake and ate 2 pieces!!!!

Evan Is All Boy

Last evening we had Tyler and Evan with us for a couple of hours. Tyler is still as sweet as ever and LOVES to cuddle with me!!!!!! Evan was all boy. He asked for his jeep cars and blocks. He was busy making sounds for the jeep cars going and built garages for them. When I asked him, "Evan, do you want to eat now?" Evan said, "No, no, no, no, I play cars." Well I gave him 5 more minutes to play. A little later, it was time for Evan's bath. He usually loves to take a bath and cries when he has to get out. Tonight, however, he answered me, "No, no, no, no bath, I play cars." Luckily, he changed his mind when he heard the water running in the bathtub and said, "I take a bath." I hope this No No No is not the beginning of the terrible twos. I can look at it as Evan is now being more assertive in what he does and has an opinion. Evan had to sit in his wooden rocking chair every time he sang Jingle Bells to us or sang the ABC song. It was too funny. We love being grandparents.

Evan's Early Birthday Present

Evan turns 2 years old tomorrow. Since he will be with his Grandma Michele and Grandpa Dan, we decided to let Evan see his gift from us. He loved his Thomas the Tank Engine trike. It plays music, lights up and talks. Evan is not pedaling yet. He will have it in his basement toy area over the winter. By spring, he will probably be pedaling. On Sunday, when we have our Thanksgiving and Evan's birthday, Evan will get to take his trike home.

Evan at the Parade

Evan watched the Bowling Green Holiday parade with Pappy G. Candy was given out at this parade. Evan understood this completely. He told Pappy G. "I want that." whenever he wanted candy. Kori and Josh rode on the float with me. Baby Tyler and his mommy and daddy watched the parade inside Panera. The weather was perfect.

Tyler's Visit

Pappy G and I got to have baby Tyler for 2 hours last evening while the rest of his family went to the lighting of the Christmas tree. Tyler was so much fun. He is so alert and was awake the whole time. His Mommy said that this is his most awake time. It is just before his last feeding before bedtime. In the photo with Pappy G, Tyler is holding on to Pappy's finger. Tyler momentarily held on to a soft rattle. He really liked his bath tonight. He likes the warm water. Tyler did cry when I took him out of the bathtub. Too cold for him. He is such a sweetie. He cuddled with me while he was wide awake. I just loved that. Tyler is 4 weeks old. He notices toys and tracks people and toys. We just feel so blessed.

Evan Playing

After I got his pajamas on tonight, Evan said, "I want another toy." I said, "Go get one." He want into the toy room and came out with his popper toy. Evan used it as a vacuum cleaner and went around our coffee table to clean my carpet. How cute and great pretend play. Evan went back and forth with the popper just like a vacuum cleaner.
