Evan and Pappy G

Evan and Pappy G love to watch football together or just play on his Tummy Time quilt.

2 Month Check-Up

Evan had his 2 month check up today with the pediatrician. He now weighs 12lbs. 12oz. and is 24 inches long. Evan is in the 50th percentile for weight and the 95th percentile for height. The doctor put him on his tummy and he lifted his head up. Evan, also, cooed and smiled at the nurse and doctor. He showed off!!! It is hard to believe that Evan is already two months old!! Evan received three shots today. With my background in special education and having served on an autism task force, I am very cautious with vaccinations even though there is no evidence that autism is caused by vaccines. Alisson talked with the pediatrician about this and she was told that the MMR vaccine given at 1 year was the one in question. The MMR vaccine no longer has mercury in it. Alisson, however, is going to be careful about getting the shots/vaccines more spread apart.

Praise God for this wonderful gift to us!!!!!

Evan Loves to Play

This is another of my favorite photos. Evan loves to play and interact with us. He gives us such happiness!!!

Evan Is Now Smiling

Evan has been smiling for his Daddy for a couple of weeks and smiling when he is in his bouncy seat. When he was with Grammie and Pappy G on Sunday, Evan smiled for us the first time!! I started to get tears when he looked right at me and smiled. What a joy!!!

Cute Evan

I just had to share one of my very favorite pictures of Evan wearing one of my favorite outfits. Stores have such cute clothes for boys now. When Zach was a baby, the options were very limited for boys. Now, everything is so cute for boys, too.

Evan Doing "Tummy Time"

Evan is pictured here doing his
"Tummy Time" at Grammie and Pappy G's house. We were so amazed at how well he held his head up. When we showed the picture to his Mommy, she said, "Wow, and he isn't even upset!!?" Evan usually holds his head up when he wants to be finished with "tummy time" and is starting to get upset. He is very contented and focused in this picture. The photo was taken just after changing his diaper. As you can see, Evan doesn't have his pants on yet. He likes to be free!!! Evan, also, loves to have his diaper changed.... he likes his clothes off!!!!

Evan and Grammie

Grammie and Pappy G had little Evan at our house Saturday night. Evan's Mommy and Daddy took Mackenzie and Jeremy sledding. We had 9 inches of snow!!! I'm sure they had fun sledding, but, Grammie and Pappy G had a lot of fun with Evan. Here is Evan just hanging out with Grammie. He is so alert these days!!! I am so thankful that we can share time with Evan. Babies change so quickly. He will be seven weeks old on Tuesday, Jan. 13th. Doesn't he look so cute in his jeans??!!

Happy Little Evan

Here is our darling grandson Evan as he is playing in his bouncy seat. He really likes it and is very contented in it. He lets everyone know when it stops bouncing and he wants more.

Family Breakfast

Since Zach and Laurie were leaving today, our family had breakfast today at Cafe Marie's in Perrysburg. It was a wonderful time together. We were there from 10:30 to 11:45am. Grammie was a little disaapointed that Evan slept in his carseat the whole time. (Everyone else was delighted that he slept). He, also, slept through opening presents this year. Oh, well, get ready family, next year will be different with a one year old at Christmas 2009!!!
Dear Gracious Father,
Thank you for the wonderful family times we had these past several days.. We, also, give thanks and praise to you for this wonderful litlle baby, Evan. Continue to protect him and wrap him and his family in your loving arms.
In Jesus' Name we pray,
Amen

Evan Meets the Michigan "K"s

Evan with HIS Santa

"Ho! Ho! Ho! Merry Christmas!!" Here is Evan with his very first Santa. He wasn't afraid at all. I wonder why?? Did he know his Santa?? Pappy G makes a great Santa for his grandson Evan Michael.

Evan at Grammie and Pappy G's House

We had a fun time with Evan at our house Sunday evening for a few hours. He ate, slept, played, and needed two dirty diaper changes. I just had to take this angelic picture of him. He is precious. When Evan is asleep, he looks just like Zach and Alisson as a baby.

Evan and His Muscles

Here is Evan showing off his muscles at almost four weeks old. He is looking into a mirror that I am holding. Is he thinking... Gee, I am really cute??!! We think so!!!

Evan Likes the Christmas Lights

Evan was so interested in the colored lights on our Christmas tree. As you can see, he is really focused on the lights. It is so neat to see the new things he discovers-- sometimes on a daily basis.

Evan at Tummy Time

Here is Evan doing "Tummy Time" with Grammie on the special quilt Grammie's good friend Sally made just for "Tummy Time" at Grammie's house.

Evan worked hard holding his head up and then he just wanted to chill out after the hard work.

Evan and Pappy G Hanging Out

We were so lucky to have Evan with us on Sunday afternoon for a couple of hours. Evan is with Gerry in the rocking chair. Gerry said to Evan, "Hey Evan, how about you and Pappy G take a nap now?"
