On Saturday, Evan was with us for his first sleepover. Little J had been sick all week. So, Alisson and Terence took him to the emergency room to check for dehydration. Well, J was dehydrated so they admitted him over night. Alisson and Terence wanted to be with J because he was so scared. So, Grammie and Pappy G offered to keep Evan and M overnight. We are so thankful for our good friends and neighbors Dick and Kathy for lending us a crib when Evan was first born. It came in handy last night. Alisson brought over the monitor and set it up along with the infant movement monitor on the crib. Of course, Grammie did not trust the monitors and checked baby Evan many times during the night to see if he was breathing. He is such a good sleeper. He slept from 10:00pm straight through to 7am. In the morning, Evan did a first for me as little boys do. I was changing his diaper and he started to squirt me!!! I was so surprised. Evan just grinned. I laughed and then he did, too. He really is a good baby and pretty laid back. I still remember a trip to Iowa with Zach and he would not sleep in a strange bed in the hotel as a baby. We drove around Iowa to put him asleep because he would always fall asleep in his carseat. Thank goodness Evan was very comfortable here. J was discharged this morning and Evan and M went home around 10:45 am. We all prayed frequently for J's healing and for the doctor's skill and wisdom in caring for him. Praise God!!!
