Our Visit With Ava

  We visited Ava early this afternoon with Alisson.  It was wonderful to see Ava get a bath.  Alisson is amazing with Ava... we are so proud of our daughter.  After Alisson fed Ava, Pappy and I got to hold our precious granddaughter.  We are so thankful that she is beginning to gain weight and is doing so well.  With God all things are possible.

Fun With Tyler

 Tyler is anticipating the "claw."  This has been a tradition with Pappy's grandchildren.

We had a few hours just with Tyler today as the rest of the family celebrated big sister's birthday party.  They took her friends to see the movie Puss n Boots.  We had a delightful time with Tyler.  Here are photos of Pappy playing his "claw" game with Tyler.  They has so much fun together. 

A Bath for Ava Grace

 Here is princess Ava's chart at the NICU.  It says her last bath was 10/24 and to save tonight's bath for Mom.

 All of Ava's things are set out for Mommy to give Ava a bath... jammies, and diaper.

Pappy and I went up to see Ava Grace on Thursday before her Mommy and Daddy went up to the hospital to give her a bath.  Here is Mommy washing Ava's hair.  Preemie princess Ava is a sweetie!!!!

 This little one is looking older already.  She is still a little peanut but is starting to put on weight slowly.

Thank You God

We are so thankful for Ava and her continued improvement.  Here is her Mommy holding her and Daddy is feeding Ava.  The doctors and nurses are so amazed by Ava's great condition.  We pray that Ava continues to grow and develop and that she keeps amazing the doctors.  In this photo, Ava Grace is 5 days old.  She looks so alert.  We love you little one!!!!

Silly Evan

When we took the kiddos to visit their Mommy in the hospital, Evan wanted me to keep taking pictures of him.  He would say, "Take another one."  So, here is one of the photos I took.  Evan is a sweet little boy.  We are so blessed.

Kori Turns 7

Welcome to Ava Grace

Our precious granddaughter, Ava Grace, was born on Oct. 21, 2011 at 2:38pm.  She weighed 2lbs. 9oz. and is 14 1/2 inches long.  She will be in the NICU for 4-8 weeks.  Please pray for her continued growth and development.

Tyler Turns 1

Happy Birthday to grandson Tyler!!!  His mommy had his baby sister Ava born on his birthday.  We finally celebrated Tyler's birthday a day late.  That little guy opened his mouth and tried to take a bite out of the whole cake.  Pappy baked a chocolate cake and on the top we had orange frosting. We made a jack-o-lantern face with black icing and candy corn.  Tyler was so cute attacking the cake.

Josh's 5th Birhtday Photo

I took Josh to get his 5th birthday picture taken.  It was so hard to choose the pose.  He had so many cute photos.  Josh is looking so grown up.  Too cute.

A Friday Night at Chuck E. Cheese's

We were at Chuck E. Cheese's Friday night to celebrate Josh's 5th birthday and his good friend Drew's 4th birthday.  This was a friend party with their parents.  We were playmates for Evan and Tyler.  This way Josh's Mommy and Daddy could just focus on him.  This picture was taken after Evan turned in tickets to buy Nerd's candy He was very happy.   Pappy and I took turns being Tyler's buddy or Evan's buddy. When Gerry left for work in the morning he said to me, " See you for our date..............(pause)  at Chuck E. Cheese's."  We were glad to join in the celebration and be a help to Alisson and Terence, however, it was an interesting way to spend a Friday night at Chuck E. Cheese's.

It is hard work being a 6 month old baby.   Sometimes we just have to crash.  Too cute and sweet.

Josh's Birthday Cake.... Day 2

Josh's Birthday

 Grandson Joshua turned 5 years old.  He requested that Pappy G bake him a chocolate cake with chocolate frosting, strawberries and a Spiderman toy. 

 Here is Josh with his Mommy and sister as Josh gets ready to blow out his number 5 candle.   We also played Captain Zoom's Happy Birthday Joshua CD for him.... this is a tradition in our family.

 Evan loves to eat cake and chocolate is his favorite.  He is having a great time eating the big piece of chocolate birthday cake.  And.... Pappy G makes the best tasting cakes!!!

Josh got a Pogo stick for his birthday.  He was so cute just before he got to open all of his presents.  Josh said, "This is just like a dream."   His birthday was very special.  Alisson took cupcakes to his kindergarten class and and then she took Josh and his best friend Chad to lunch at the University with Josh's daddy, too.  Then, we took Josh to out for his birthday dinner.  We went to DQ.  We sat in a booth with a window so Josh could see a train if one came by.  When a train came down the track, Josh was so excited to see it.  Happy Birthday to a special 5 year old boy!!!!!  Love you Josh!!!

Caden Zachary

I love the hair he has and his big bright eyes.  He is looking older.   I love you sweet Caden!!!!

Tyler Stands Up

Big Brother Evan is showing Tyler how to do it.  This is Tyler's first time to stand up.  He will be walking before we know it.  Tyler has a good role model or a partner in crime...just kidding.  They have a wonderful relationship. 

Wait and See

With the doctor's "wait and see" with baby Ava Grace..... this has been my constant connection with God and feel such peace and comfort.  Keep the prayers coming for Alisson, baby Ava Grace and all of the family.  Thank you and love to all of you.

Waiting for Josh

Here are Kori, Evan and Tyler waiting for Josh to come home on the bus from his first day at kindergarten.  Tyler decided to ride with Evan..... not really.  Daddy Terence put him on the trike and told Evan to hold on to him.  Evan looks so sweet with his arms around his baby brother.  Just another cute picture of our grandchildren.

A Happy and Beautiful Family

This photo was taken at Terence's brother's wedding a few weeks ago. Terence was in the wedding and had to leave early.  We helped Alisson get the 4 kiddos ready for the wedding.  It was fun. Pappy and I stayed with the kiddos at the hotel during the reception.  We spent the night with them and took them to breakfast in their pj's.  We are praying for baby Ava Grace as she has some possible significant issues.

GrandKiddos Start School

 Josh had his first day of kindergarten yesterday.   I hope his kindergarten teacher was ready for him.  Josh may be thinking... "Look out kindergarten... here I come."

Today was Kori's first day of First grade.  She had her outfit picked days ago and could not sleep last night.... she was so excited.   We are very proud grandparents!!!
